Très beau coffre en bois de teck, doté d'un couvercle à charnière, laqué en thayo (orné de reliefs moulés dorés à la feuille) sur trois côté illustrant la vie de Siddhârta Gautama. Plus de deux-cent personnages sont figurés. L'intérieur et le dos sont laqués en rouge. Haute Birmanie XIXe siècle 65 x 100 x 62 cm Ensemble des éléments d'origine. Divers accidents sur la laque laissent apparaître le bois à proximité des angles, tesselles manquantes.

Nat : Hnamadawgyi Nat (un des sept seigneurs de la mythologie birmane). Probablement Hnamadawdgyi, alias Saw Mairya (nom personnel) et Shwe myet hna (Dame au visage d'or). Soeur de Me Maha Giri (alias Bo Bo Dji). Tient généralement un petit poisson et un cheerot dans ses mains.
