Potpourrivase faience probably 2nd half of the 18th century, indistinct brush mark, sand-coloured faience body glazed in white and painted in colour, baluster shape with openwork diamond motifs on the shoulder and the lid, a sculptural songbird as lid knob, two half-sculptural mascarons as handles and rich trimming of small forget-me-not blossoms and large flowers and leaves, polychrome insect painting in the interstices, minimally bumped and professionally restored, h 26.5 cm.
