Pair of dueling pistols by John Manton Son, supplier to the Royal Family in London, presented in a cassette. Chased percussion lock with scroll decoration, signed in cursive "John Manton Son patent", flat-bodied hammer and blued thumb safety. Checkered walnut stock with silver thumb piece, trigger guard with finger rest and finely chased cap, blued trigger tail and all guilloche screws. The grips are marked next to the lock plate: 1 and 2, parts under the bridge numbered 11407, both with the same number. Rifled damascus hair barrel, ribbon engraved on the upper side "John. Manton Son Dover street London", barrels and woods all numbered the same. Perfect mechanics, overall length: 39cm. Mahogany wood cassette case lined with green felt, manufacturer's label and housing for pistols and accessories. Both compartment lids have old labels with the same number as the guns. Complete set including brass primer box from the "Cuthbert London" firm, ebony and brass mallet and rammer, greased notebook box (still present), two screwdrivers, a bulb with three compartments: powder, bullets and butt screw for primer. A bullet mold with the same caliber and number as the guns, two bone and hair brushes, and a three-housing chimney disassembly wrench: two side replacement chimneys and a chimney cleaning tool.
