Léopold SAVINE (1861-1980) The Ziban Bride Shaded brown patina bronze proof Signed "L. Savine" on the plinth at right Stamped "Louchet - Ciseleur- Paris" on back Circa 1890/1900 Height: 38 cm Léopold Savine was born in Paris on March 6, 1861. He entered the École des Beaux-Arts and was a pupil of Antoine Injalbert. He made his debut at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in 1888 and exhibited there until 1920. Bronze medal at the 1900 Universal Exhibition. He executed female figures, and his Orientalist-inspired works were very numerous.
