REGIMENTAL INTEREST: A LARGE EDWARDIAN SILVER BOWL by Hunt & Roskell Ltd, London 1902, of circular form, chased with leafy branches spread equally around the base of the bowl, with an applied regimental crest within a laurel wreath to each side for the 84th (York and Lancaster) Regiment of Foot, the bowl with a presentation engraving reading PRESENTED BY CAPT. G.E. MONTAGU, ON RETIREMENT, & CAPT. A. THEOBALD, ON PROMOTION. 1875., the pedestal foot is further engraved PRESENTED BY THE OFFICERS OF 2ND BATTALION YORK & LANCASTER REGIMENT, SERVING BETWEEN 1897-1902. 39.2cm diameter, 88.8 troy ounces

Engraved coat of arms on the front with the motto "Fac Et Spera" of the Scottish family Campbell of Possil. Marked, foam marks, maker's mark, year letter "r". Weight approx. 460 g. H. 14,5 cm.
