The brush washer is in the form of a gourd with gilt embellishments along the surface depicting a phoenix flying among clouds along the inkpad, located along the bulbous region of the gourd. Along the top of the gourd, there is an impression depicting a sun and crescent moon with gilt floral and foliate motifs along the edges of the impressions. With a custom carved wooden stand that matches the form of the brush washer. Douanes exhibition Paris sticker along the underside. (Without stand) height: 1 in x width: 2 1/2 in x depth: 3 1/4 in.
