V AN 18TH CENTURY CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE TEA BOWL AND SAUCER the tea bowl decorated with two reserves painted with ducks on the water, further decorated in underglaze blue and on-glaze enamels with sprigs of foliage, the saucer with conforming decoration. (2) Tea Bowl 7.2cm diameter Four small hairline cracks. Chip to the rim and some further nibbles to the same area. Tiny chip to the inside edge of the foot rim.

The tea bowl rising from a short straight foot to deep sides, the exterior finely decorated in bright enamels, depicting blooming pink, yellow and blue flowers on leafy stems. The interior with a turquoise-green diaper band at the rim. Condition: Overall fine condition with surface wear, minor nibbles and a tiny chip to the rim, wear to the enamels, a hairline to the side, and firing irregularities including dark spots and pitting.
