The original name of the weapon is in French; Saber modèle 1882 d'officier d'infanterie. Total length - 1015mm. The length of the blade with the handle (without sheath) is 1000mm. The broadsword blade is steel, straight, forged, hardened, monocotyledonous with a smooth taper at the tip.
