Maya, Late Period 700-1000 A.D. Height 5.5 cm - Length: 10.5 cm - Width: 8 cm This vase found in Costa Rica features iconography characteristic of the Maya culture. It bears witness to the influence of this culture on Costa Rica. Its slip also indicates that it can be dated to the period of decline corresponding to the Toltec invasions of Mexico.
