Il utilise alors la technique du pied en éventail, évolution du Y-leg. Cette technique du Fan-Leg est réalisée à partir de lamelles de bois découpées en biseau puis collées et courbées (bois blond de hêtre ou de bouleau lamellé-collé). L'intérieur des pieds est nervuré comme dans les églises gothiques.
