Jean Michel FOLON (1934-2005). Carpaccio is dead. From a series of three works in three different techniques. Ink and watercolor signed "A Pompette et Francis" Burey. Dimensions: 39 x 53 cm. The paper is rippled and wrinkled, mainly at the edges. This declination of works «Carpaccio is dead», which we offer for sale, has the same source of inspiration as the ink of colors presented in the museum of the Folon Foundation, realized by Folon in 1970 for Paola Ghiringhelli, A nod to their stay in Venice and inspired by Vittore Carpaccio’s famous painting «The Dream of Saint Ursula» exhibited at the Accademia in Venice.
