GYP (Sibylle Gabrielle Riqueti de Mirabeau Comtesse de Martel dite, 1849-1932, novelist, great-grandniece of Mirabeau, her Salon was very popular with the Vie Parisienne) / Nice set: 1°) Autograph letter signed, 3 p in-8 oblong, silver-engraved letterhead with her crowned "G" and her motto "Et puis après?"2°) Amusing autograph letter signed, responding to a journalist's inquiry: "I'm in favor of marriage. Old-fashioned, isn't it?...". - 3°) "Ahoy! Les dirigeants!" by Gyp, illustrated by Bob (his illustrator's pseudonym), Léon Chailley éditeur, 1896, original edition with colored pictures, 195 p (11.5 x 17.5 cm, used condition, cover reworked), a satirical novel about the political world at the end of the century, with its affairs, corruptions, women, and of course (a recurring theme with Gyp) the Jews.

Spine faded, else a very good copy, as issued, with an ORIGINAL AQUARELLE for the illustration on page 56 and a LETTER and two AUTOGRAPHIC WORDS SIGNED, relating to his Bob pseudonym.

[Mirabeau] 6 letters addressed to Charlotte de Riqueti de Mirabeau (1747-1820), marquise du Saillant, daughter of the famous marquis and sister of the count. ca.1799, 11p in-8. Two letters are addressed to "ma chère maman", two others to "bonne-maman" and two to "ma chère voisine". Unfortunately, we have not identified the family members who write to Charlotte. Only one letter is dated with the year (30 thermidor year 7).

Sibylle-Gabrielle-Marie-Antoinette de Riquetti de Mirabeau, comtesse de Martel, known as Gyp (1849-1932). Autograph manuscript signed "Gyp", En préparant l'arbre de Noël...; 52 fol. pages in folder with autograph title. Manuscript in his large handwriting in violet ink, with a few erasures and corrections. The scene takes place "in the country, at the Dowager's house", and is, for the most part, in dialogue. Attached is a L.A.S.; plus 2 L.A.S. from his mother Marie, Comtesse de Mirabeau (1881 and 1903), including one about his grandson Thierry de Martel, who has "a passionate vocation for surgery".
