CHARLES IX (1550-1574, King of France in 1560, died of pleurisy at the age of 23) / Piece on paper signed "Charles" in his own hand, large in-4 (22.5 x 34.5 cm), laminated on a black background under marie-louise, countersigned by his Secretary of State Florimond ROBERTET, given in Paris on May 6, 1568: King Charles IX orders that Sieur de La Barge, "servant of the Church of Saint-Jehan" in the city of LYON, be given back the canonical house occupied by Sieur Briagne, Lieutenant-Governor of Lyonnais for Monsieur le Duc de Nemours; he also requests that he be paid a sum of money for the time he occupies his house and for any repairs that may need to be made.
