Sloping desk in inlaid wood decorated with cubes, opening with a flap revealing a writing area, a niche, three drawers and a secret compartment. 95 x 71 x 44 cm. (worm work, small accidents, restorations, notably to two legs, and missing parts).

Travel journal. (circa 1880). Travel writing case. (circa 1880). Closed size: 36 x 29 x 18 / 8.5 cm; open size: 36 x 60 x 17 / 7 cm. Box with elm burr veneer, black and light wood marquetry and fillets on the upper parts, brass fittings, lock with key. The lid opens to reveal a sloping writing surface covered in tan cowhide. The lower half can be opened to reveal a large storage space; the upper part also opens to reveal a compartmentalized space: two side compartments for inkwells (absent), one for pens, closed by a shelf. Elegant little writing case, probably travel size, in good condition. A few scratches on the veneer.

Louis XV style. 103 x 71 x 44 cm. (stains, missing parts and accidents to the veneer, notably a large one to the right rear leg).
