Jacques Villeglé (1926-2022) 2 original works > Untitled, 1999, torn posters signed lower right and mounted on cardboard countersigned, dated, titled, dedicated and located in Montauban on the back of the frame - 7.6 x 7.5 cm > Silhouette (autoportrait), 2007, ink and collage on card signed, dedicated and dated lower right - 14 x9 cm A lacerating artist alongside Raymond Hains (then Mimmo Rotella), Jacques Villeglé's career obviously began in the streets of Paris! Equally close to the Lettrist movement, he is the author of an alphabet all his own, a practice extended by graffiti artists in their wanderings.
