Decorations enhanced with small scenes and Chinese characters in Cassius purple. Lid handles forming a laurel wreath embellished with pink bows. Marked. Volkstedt/Passau "Bandoneonspieler" Designed by Hugo Meisel around 1919 for Aelteste Volkstedt Porzellanmanufaktur, produced by the Rosenau-Passau branch factory, signed on a relief plaque, blue mark 1921-42, embossed mark P and model number 1041, naturalistic design with colourful under- and overglaze painting, a man in a harlequin costume sitting on a tree stump playing music above an oval plinth, two fingers chipped, otherwise in good condition for age, h 23 cm.
