Date: 1907 Description: The artwork shows a domestic scene in which five people are depicted in an interior. Two women and a man in the foreground are engaged in musical activities, with one of the women sitting at the piano. A conversation between two seated, elderly gentlemen can be recognised in the background. The colour scheme of the painting is subtle, with accents of white on the women's dresses. The realistic style of painting and the composition suggest an intimate and cultivated atmosphere. Pays- Bas début du XVIIIe siècle. Couteau manche en buis sculpté représentant l'Espérance, la Foi et la Charité. Lame en acier à pointe centrée, le manche en buis sculpté des trois vertues dos à dos. L'Espérance tenant dans sa main droite une ancre marine, un oiseau posé sur son bras gauche, la Charité tenant dans ses bras un enfant, deux enfants s'accrochant au bas de sa robe, la Foi tenant de sa main droite la croix. Un lion couché, symbolisant la monarchie, au sommet de leurs têtes. Virole en acier moulurée. Petite restauration à la base de la robe de la Charité.
