VALLAURIS, Marius Giuge (1909-1980), rare set of 6 "barbotine" earthenware oyster plates, (perfect condition) diam: 23 cm ( Marius Giuge was a renowned French ceramist, particularly known for his work in Vallauris, a town famous for its ceramic tradition. After training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulon, Giuge moved to Vallauris, where he developed and perfected his art. Vallauris, being a center of pottery and ceramics, offered Giuge a fertile environment for his artistic experiments and creations).
