Saxony, infantry officer's sword M 1867, broad tapered blade with double fullers on both sides, crowned cipher "FAR" (Friedrich August Rex) on the obverse side of the ricasso, maker's mark "Weyersberg, Kirschberg & Co Solingen" and acceptance mark on the reverse side, gilt brass hilt with floral decoration in relief, pierced guard with Saxon coat of arms flanked by two lions, acceptance mark on grip cap and quillons, grip scabbard with ray skin and intact wire wrapping, black lacquered steel scabbard with two ring straps and a movable suspension ring, blade l: 79.5 cm, total L (with scabbard): 97 cm.
