Painter and graphic artist (1909 Korschenbroich - 1972 Saarlouis), 1926-30 studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Trier under August Trümper and at the Kölner Werkschulen under Richard Seewald, 1930-33 at the Berlin Academy under Karl Hofer and Adolf Strübe, 1934-35 stay in Rome, 1939-43 with Strübe in Berlin, from 1945 active in Birkenfeld an der Nahe, from 1945 member of the Trier Secession, representative of the "Lost Generation", source: Vollmer and Internet.
