The cup and cover each decorated in bright enamels, iron-red, and gilt with a cricket perched on a yellow chrysanthemum blossom, flanked by further chrysanthemum sprigs, all issuing from rockwork, the reverse of the bowl with a cricket in flight. The recessed bases with an iron-red six-character Daoguang reign mark and of the period. Provenance: German private collection. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear.
