Jean-Jules CHERET (1836-1932) "Winter in Nice Polychrome poster, Chaix éditeur D : 175 x 120 cm French painter, lithographer and poster artist, a popular master of poster art, he was the elder brother of sculptor Joseph Chéret. In 1866, Jules Chéret opened his first lithography studio in Paris, where he designed and printed hundreds of posters. He worked for commercial brands, but the majority of his posters were devoted to advertising shows and entertainment of all kinds, as well as light musical, literary and theatrical works.
