Large folio (43 x 33 cm), filled illustrated cover, publisher's folder and slipcase. 20 autograph poems by Pierre Reverdy reproduced in facsimile, illustrated by Juan GRIS with 11 off-text color lithographs after gouaches dating from the 1920s and 1 black lithograph on the cover. Limited edition of 220 copies on Arches vellum, numbered and signed by Reverdy (ex. no. 203). Conceived from an idea by Léonce Rosenberg, this work was not published until almost 40 years later. It was originally intended to include 20 lithographs, but by the time Juan Gris died in 1927, he had executed only 11. A fine testimony to the Cubist era.
