Portrait of Ivan Mosjoukine, 1925 Beautiful dedication. Film photographer (Albatros). 28.5 x 22.5 cm In February 1920, the last "white" Russian studio in Yalta had to close. Joseph Ermoliev and his entire crew emigrated to France via Constantinople on the Greek merchant ship La Panthère. During the voyage, the crew shot a film to be broadcast under the title L'Angoissante aventure. They settled in Montreuil, in the former Pathé premises, and set up the L'Albatros studio, with Mosjoukine as their main star. Romain Gary liked to pretend that Ivan was his father.

A very carefully typographed edition, associated with the Elzévirienne editions (Brunet), illustrated with a fine full-page intaglio portrait of Charles V. (Brunet IV, 565.)

Rare publication from the presses of Swiss printer and typographer Jean Jannon (1580-1658), who settled in Sedan with Henri de la Tour d'Auvergne after apprenticing in Geneva, Lausanne and Basel, then in Germany, completing his training in Paris with printer Robert Estienne III and establishing himself in Charenton (Brunet III, 317.)
