Religious costumes. Costumi degli ordini religiosi. Rome, Chiostro della certosa alle terme diocleziane, 1848. Accordion-fold album, in-12 (11.1 x 7.7 cm), with title and 36 watercolor engravings, cardboard folder and slipcase covered with black embossed paper with plant motifs. Album of women's and men's costumes from various Catholic religious orders, including a title illustrated with a vignette engraved by Mochetti after Bertini and 36 engraved plates captioned in Italian, all hand-colored. Slight rubbing to spine, partial tear to fold, a few small stains or soiling, otherwise a very good copy.

Italy. Costumi di Roma e dei contorni. Rome, sn, 1846. Accordion-fold album, in-12 (11 x 7.6 cm), hardcover covered with blue embossed paper. Album with illustrated engraved title and 30 engravings, all hand watercolored. The title vignette depicts a dance scene, the saltarello, engraved by Mochetti after Bertini, while the other engravings depict female and male costumes from Rome and surrounding cities. A fine copy, finely engraved and watercolored.
