Colorized and gummed lithograph on lid: Henri IV, Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Charles IX, Napoléon 1er, François 1er, Napoléon III in onion row, flanked by flags, drums, shields. The box contains three lithographed plates, colored and gummed, mounted on cardboard and cut into jigsaw puzzles. Classic puzzle game on the theme of the kings of France. The three plates present twenty-four profiles of kings and national authorities (republics, emperors), from Pharamond to Napoleon III. Fine condition, original paper dividers.

With the coat of arms of Constantin HARYET, comte de GENEVET (1842-1907), son of Elisabeth Ann HARYET dite Miss HOWARD, châtelaine de Beauregard (à la Celle-Saint-Cloud). Miss Howard was the financial supporter and mistress of Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte. She was annobled Countess of Beauregard by Napoleon III in 1865. Constantin was also annobled by Napoleon III by decree of January 9, 1865. Spine faded, spine a little cut, otherwise a good copy.
