Funerary mask; Egypt, Ptolemaic period, 323- 30 BC. Colored vitreous paste. Attached certificate issued by Bagot. Measurements: 12 x 15 cm; 35 x 19, 5 cm (base). Mask of beads of different colors joined with new linen thread. In Ancient Egypt, the sarcophagus was related to the embalming and mummification rituals, thought for the deceased to reach eternal life. During the Middle Empire, the custom arose of placing masks made of linen and a paste similar to cardboard over the face and shoulders of the deceased. From this fact gives rise to the appearance of the first anthropomorphic sarcophagi, coffins themselves, with human form, almost always made of wood. They will be pieces ornamented with painted scenes and texts, of funerary symbology. However, in general terms, the sarcophagus of the New Empire, mainly the royal sarcophagus, will be characterized by having a rectangular shape, in imitation of the oldest examples of the New Empire. However, the anthropomorphic type of coffin will be extended throughout the centuries until the end of the Pharaonic world. Attached is a certificate issued by Bagot.

Dish; Egypt, Tinite period, 3150-2686 B.C. Alabaster. Presents restoration in fracture line. Measurements: 5 x 15 cm. Dish made of carved alabaster. The art of carving stone vessels reached its peak as far back as the early dynastic period and the Old Kingdom. Stone vessels were mainly used to contain foodstuffs, ointments and cosmetic oils. Thanks to the thickness and impermeability of their walls, they allowed a good preservation of the products. They have many uses in everyday life, but also played a prominent role in religious activities; offerings in temples, daily anointing of statues and objects of worship, and in the funerary world, for the preparation of mummies, as well as in the belief in the rejuvenating and regenerating effect of these substances. Therefore, it is not surprising that a large number of stone vessels were regularly deposited in tombs and burial complexes. It presents restoration in fracture line.

Female head; Tanagra, Greece, Boeotia, 3rd century BC. Terracotta. Measurements: 4 x 3 x 2 cm. Sculpture of a female head in terracotta with floral headdress. In Tanagra, located in Beocia (Greece) this type of terracotta figures were used as offerings in temples and sanctuaries as well as in the funerary offerings. The first Greek sculptures dating from the ninth century BC were small human figures made of malleable materials such as clay, ivory or wax. It was not until the archaic period during the 7th and 6th centuries B.C. that the Greeks began to work with stone, however, preserving other materials, mainly ceramics due to the rise of this industry, for small pieces, destined to serve as offerings in temples or part of funerary offerings.
