NASA. Gemini 4 mission. Historic spacewalk by the 1st American Ed. White on June 5, 1965. The Gemini 4 mission is the first of the space age to have an international audience. During this mission, the American White stepped out into space, using the HHSMU (Hand Held Self Maneuvering Unit), a gas-jet pistol. McDivitt took a dozen photographs that would later become famous in the history of the conquest of space. Here, Ed. White appears in front of a perfect cottony earth cloud cover. Mark Laita is a wonderful American photographer who after several years dedicated to commercial photography has presented in recent years a series of books with his personal work. Of these, I have selected a sample of two of the most interesting: "Created Equal", from 2010 and "Serpentine", from this year. He has produced award-winning commercial work for clients such as Adidas, Apple and Mercedes-Benz. Laita's first book of non-commercial work, Created Equal, is the result of an eight-year cross-country project featuring 8×10 black and white portraits of Americans from a wide range of cultures, occupations and backgrounds. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in the United States and Europe.

Around the middle of the 19th century, more and more tourists from bourgeois circles travelled to Italy. At that time, photographs could only be taken at great expense in terms of time and with expensive, unwieldy equipment. This made many tourists all the more grateful for the work of the professional photographer's studios on site, so that they could bring back a souvenir from their holiday home or collect them as mementos.
