Rare Quran support Andalusian Nasrid or Post Nasrid 15th C converted into a Christian Lectern in the 16th century, Granada from the 15th to 16th centuries Sublime example of the profound Andalusian legacy in the Iberian Peninsula and its deep imprint on Christian art and architecture during the centuries that preceded the Arab rule of the Peninsula. Made of geometric inlay in bone and silver on one side dating from the 15th century and the Nasrid period and later Christian Mudejar ornamentation dating from the Post-Islamic period and dating from the 16th century on the cut sheet, both on the front and back with concentric geometric motifs of tinted bone. Italian coins VENICE Paolo Renier (1779-1789) 1784 gold 10-zinc thaler - Mont. lacks AU (g 34.91) RRRR We have found no matches in the literature or numismatic portals for this exceptional thaler weighing 10 zecchini. The CNI mentions a 15 tick multiple of the 1785 thaler and a 12 tick multiple of the 1787 thaler. So not only would the 1784 multiple not be known but neither would this weight. It would be of great interest to know the history of these multiples and how they were conceived in the mint because the dogate of Paolo Renier of whom multiples are known for many of his nominals is particularly rich. - SPL
