Date: 1799 Description: The engraved illustration shows a picturesque landscape of Villa Borghese with a view of the winding Muro torto and St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Two figures walk along a path surrounded by lush trees, water features and architectural monuments under a dramatic cloud formation. Probably a later print for the French-language edition of the "Malerisch radirte Prospekte von Italien".
