RICHARD CLAUDE BELT (1851-1920): A BRONZE BUST OF LORD KITCHENER FROM THE ESTATE OF HIS SECRETARY FROM THE ESTATE OF HENRY ARTHUR RENSHAW, SECRETARY TO LORD KITCHENER the bust signed 'R. Belt Sc.' and inscribed to the reverse 'NO. 1 REDUCTION OF BUST IN WAR OFFICE', mid brown patination, raised on a black marble plinth, together with a signed photograph of Kitchener, (20 x 12cm), a leather bound coronation record of the Coronation of George V, a photograph of Captain Thomas Renshaw (Arthur's son), and a cased 1902 silver coronation spoon, the bronze 38cm high, 43cm high including marble base, Provenance: Sir Arthur Renshaw (1851-1912) of Watlington Park, Oxfordshire, secretary to Lord Kitchener and a co-signatory to his will. Renshaw's son, Thomas (1899-1984) was Kitchener's godson and page at the coronation of George V in 1911.
