Westerwald stoneware jug circa 1800, grey stoneware, salt-glazed, vertically combed, incised and painted cobalt blue, two stylised birds on the front, surrounding band motifs, overlapping tin lid punched, engraved owner's monogram I.G.M., dated 1821, tin lid somewhat corroded, otherwise good condition for its age, h 28.5 cm.

Applied decoration of flowers and volutes, the base painted dark blue. Minimally chipped; pewter lid with shell pusher. H. 16 cm. A small ball-shaped German Westerwald blue painted and salt-glazed stoneware jug and pewter cover. Minor chips. Westerwald. Late 17th century.

Rare large Westerwald plate Light gray stoneware with salt glaze. Round, slightly recessed shape with a narrow, slightly rising rim. Rich, almost all-over decoration in red and stamp technique, painted blue. In the centre a stylized vase or basket motif with flower stems, leaf tendrils, flower rosettes and bunches of grapes, in the ascending section a surrounding ornamental frieze of leaf or flower motifs, on the rim a leaf and flower tendril combined with a pearl band.
