Historical collection in three parts in separate pagination written by Théodore Godefroy (1580-1649), historiographer to King Louis XIII. The first part relates the visit of Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV and his son Wenceslas to his nephew, King Charles V of France, in Paris in 1378. A feast was held in their honor at the Conciergerie, attended by 800 guests for the coronation of Wenceslas. The second part seeks to show that the kings of Portugal were descended from the House of France. The third part similarly aims to show the title of the kings of France to the crown of Spain. A fine copy. (hole with missing endpaper.)

Exceptional, very coherent collection: all the pieces (except the last one, on Spanish marriages) concerning the Prince de Condé's revolt in 1614 and its ups and downs until the peace of Sainte-Menehould (detailed list on request).
