LARGE SCULPTURE "LION DU SÉNÉGAL ATTAQUANT UNE ANTILOPE" by Édouard DELABRIERRE (1829-1912) Green patina bronze Signed on the terrace Cartel stating "Exposition 1866, numéro 27-21". 19th century 47 x 82 x 25 cm approx. Influenced by the work of Barye, Delabrièrre exhibited for the first time at the 1848 Salon, and quickly achieved renown. His highly realistic, detailed subjects made him an important member of the animal school. In 1857, one of his sculptures, entitled "L'équitation", was incorporated into the façade of the Louvre.

Four in glazed porcelain and one in glazed Spanish porcelain from the manufacture Talleres de Ceramica de Jose Maria Alvarez (Spain, sXX). Marks on the base. Max. size: 28 x 8 x 8 cm.
