Biography: Maurice BUFFET studied at the Arts Décoratifs and Beaux-Arts in Paris, then became a stained-glass painter in Chartres, Tours and Paris. A painter of poetic reality, he exhibited at the main Parisian salons: Grands et Jeunes, Peintres Témoins de leur temps, Trois dimensions, Salon d'Automne, Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts... and was described as a "poetic surrealist" by critic Philippe Thomas.
