William THORNLEY (1857 - 1935). Snowy Landscape "Hunting Rendezvous at Gisors". Oil on canvas signed lower right, dated, annotated on reverse and labeled. Height : 60 cm - Width : 73 cm A Franco-English painter and pupil of Puvis de Chavannes, William Thornley began his career as a lithographer for his friends Pissaro and Monet. In 1878, he exhibited at the Paris Salon, and in 1881 won a distinction for his neo-impressionist painting, in which snow is one of his favorite themes. Since 1981, the Musée du Château de Grouchy in Osny, not far from the hunting lodge he painted here and where he settled in 1895, has housed almost 200 works by the artist.

Green Hornet: Bruce Lee and Van Williams Original 'Type I' Photograph Original glossy 8 x 10 photo of Green Hornet and Kato actors Van Williams and Bruce Lee showing their character masks to the show’s creator, George W. Trendle. The reverse is numbered in pencil, “9804-225.” In fine condition. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic 'Type I' photograph. George Trendle (1884-1972) is best known for the characters the Lone Ranger, the Green Hornet, and Sgt. Preston of the Yukon, all of which he co-created with Fran Striker. Per a 1995 interview with Van Williams: ‘Bruce (Lee) and I went to his (George Trendle’s) penthouse before the show aired. He actually did have all the stuff; basically, Britt Reid was modeled after him. He owned a television station and a newspaper there. He was quite old, but his mind was very sharp. I was quite impressed with the guy.’
