Percival Lafer (Brazillian, b. 1936). Mid-century modern MP-173 earth scoop lounge chair, "MP" standing for "moveis patenteados" or "patented furniture" in Portuguese. With ebony-hued leather upholstery and possibly jacaranda or rosewood body. There is a Percival Lafer label along the front of the chair as well as along the underside of the seat. Height: 36 in x width: 31 1/2 in x depth: 30 1/4 in.
