First collective edition, partly original. Illustrated on the frontispiece with a portrait of the author lithographed on Chine appliqué, after James M. N. Whistler. Autograph signed letter from Stéphane Mallarmé to Dr. Thomas W. Evans, his American-born dentist, who also treated George Sand, Balzac, King Louis-Philippe and Russian Emperor Nicholas I, among other celebrities.
