Second edition, partly original, revised and more correct than the first published in 1832 under the title Mémoires de Billard de Veaux, ancien chef vendéen. One of the few local histories of the Norman Chouannerie. It is said that Billard de Veaux gave such precise details of the Vendéens and the Chouans that the families whose relatives were mentioned in it hunted down and destroyed the work. Small paper loss at top of faux-title of Volume I. Covers foxed.
