Very rare, almost complete collection of this periodical pamphlet, one of the most remarkable and influential organs of counter-revolutionary reaction (Hatin, pp. 243-244). Complete with 4 allegorical frontispieces, including one depicting children grouped around a table, building a house of cards, while Death and Justice watch over them from a balcony (this figure is placed at the head of n°XXXI). Issue XIII was never published, the author not wanting to write it because of the royalist day of 13 Vendémiaire An IV; the only issue missing from the present collection is n°XXXV, which only appeared on 1er frimaire An VII (21 novembre 1798). Some foxing, one leaf of volume I torn but not missing. Last leaf of volume III reinforced at bottom, with small loss of text. Hinges of volumes I and III reinforced with adhesive tape.
