Amsterdam, Et se trouve à Paris, Lacombe, 1769. 2 volumes in-12, marbled calf, cold fillet, ornate spine, red titles and goblets, red edges (period binding). First in-12 edition, published the same year as the in-4 edition. The author, who published this book under his pseudonym L'Ami des hommes, seems to have taken this title in allusion to Xenophon's Economiques: in it, he proposes to give different methods of economic instruction to the various social classes, and also undertakes the instruction of heads of government (INED, n°3196). A fine copy, despite a split hinge in Volume I.
