Important collection of 32 pieces relating to the affair of the Queen's Necklace, accompanied by a large fold-out plate, mounted at the head, depicting the precious jewel. Memoirs, defenses and petitions, including those of the Comtesse de La Motte, the Comte de Cagliostro, Mademoiselle Le Gay d'Oliva, the Cardinal de Rohan, the Sieur de Bette d'Étienville, and others. Following the volume are bound some 50 printed leaves from the Courrier de l'Europe, containing several articles relating to the Count of Cagliostro, as well as 20 manuscript pages of articles on the same subject and taken from the same periodical. General title page restored and lined. Some foxing. Binding worn, hinges cracked and covers missing.
