Diameter: 5.3. Four balloon events took place in 1900, with Messrs. Balsan and de la Vaux as the heroes, as illustrated on a plate from the Musée de l'Air. There was also a kite contest, won by a Norman engineer from Caen, Mr. Joseph Lecornu (1864-1931).
