Large old-fashioned cardboard folder with lace and partial motto of the Baron, which sets the tone: "Voir Loin" ("See Away")... Inside, three folders revolve around his complete motto: "Voir Loin", "Parler Franc", "Agir Ferme"...Following in the footsteps of the Baron's ex-Libris (printed next to the Vermot study, passage des Panoramas, by Stern), this port-folio is an achievement of the International Olympic Committee. Its well-constructed plates bear witness to the progress of the Olympic ideal, and to the Baron's career. Bonus: three important color documents about the Games (42x29?5) A fine press review with a facsimile of his closing speech at the Chamonix Games (5/2/1924), and full, high-quality reproductions of two major newspapers of the belle époque, "La Gazette de France" and "Le Figaro", reporting on those first steps on June 20, 1894. 42 x 29.5 cm
