Olympic Games/ Summer, 1936/ Berlin/ Owens/ Jesse Owens (1913-1980) Remarkable set of posters featuring the star of the Berlin Games, Jesse Owens (1913-1980), the four-time Olympic champion. This selection features a color poster of his exploits, signed by artist Robert Gonn in 1975 (61 x 47 cm). It shows Owens on the podium of the long jump, on the highest step, saluting the American. He didn't yet have his pot with the oak sapling, when he sent himself off at 8m06 (Olympic record), 2nd was Germany's Long (7m87), and 3rd was Japan's Tajima (7m74). This work of art is part of the series "One of the great moments of the American Olympic team". With the complete issue of "L'Auto" saluting his victory in the 100m in 10''3, the prestige photograph of the Olympic Committee gotha (40.5 x 30.5 cm), a few reprints, a photograph of the length with Long (17 x 22.5 cm), and a modern autographed philatelic envelope (US soccer tournament).
