Olympic Games/ Summer, 1936/ Berlin/ Two pieces: a) Catalogue. "Olympische Kunstausstellung Berlin, 15/7-16/8 1936. Behind this superb cover is a 58-page inventory of the participants in the Berlin art competition, followed by some 40 pages of reproductions. It shows that, even without the French contribution, this was an important and well-crafted event. 21 x 15 cm b) Ivory-colored hardback dust jacket illustrated with the "Massonet" port-folio (in red)... "Olympiade", the elegant left-handed fencer in plume, (35 x 25.5 cm) introduces us to this creation printed in 500 copies, with the 40 x 30 cm mount. Presses J de Grève. 1935. We present only the dust jacket by master artist Arnaud Massonet (1892-1979), sufficient to give an idea of the artist's work.
