In 15 GF photos, and 49 new postcards, we find some of the adventures experienced by the 14 teams during this eventful tournament (with a first for Egypt). The Belgian team, the future winners, were there with the monumental trophy, as were France...Belgium, leading 2-0, won the final after Czechoslovakia had given up at the end of the first half. France, who had beaten Italy in the quarters, were beaten by Czechoslovakia in the semis. For the silver medal, Ricardo Zamora's Spain triumphed in the mini-Tournament organized at the last minute.
