ICON OF THE VISITATION. POSSIBLY ANDALUSIAN WORK, S. XVIII Oil on panel and gold Work made by goldsmiths specialized in the treatment of fine gold leaf. It shows a Virgin kneeling under the Holy Spirit, who together with her pregnant cousin Elizabeth, shows the moment of the Visitation. The faces, hands and feet can be seen in oil on panel. Outstanding haloes highlight the whole. All this, decorated with embossed motifs and framed by eight cut, folded and openwork flowers placed on the inner edge on a first frame with curtain-like decoration on its perimeter. It is inside a period wood and glass box. The central area with damage and a crack in the lower right. 45 x39 cm.
