Description

Myriam INGRAO, born 1984 Le Récif, Morbihan - 2024 Puisaye earthenware ceramic, dated and signed below 15 x 15 cm --- Myriam INGRAO, born 1984 Born in St-Brieuc, France, Myriam Ingrao works for a broad, multidisciplinary landscape of art: drawing, writing, singing, reading, engraving and volumes. With sensitivity and exacting standards, she multiplies encounters through musical and stage experiences, per sonal or collective exhibitions, and as associate artist of the Rennes collective Les Ateliers du vent. Her honors diplomas testify to her curiosity: DNSEP at EESAB in Lorient (2008), Master 2 Arts Plastiques in Rennes (2009), CAP bijouterie-joaillerie in Ploërmel (2015-17). Based in Morbihan, her drawings and sculptures echo mineral and plant forms, like archaeological remains. This "ink embroiderer" traces her meticulous strokes to the vertigo of detail. The universal figure of the round is stretched into a nebulous starburst, its origins clouded and magnified by the precision of the stitches on the paper. Sculptures in terracotta or raw clay represent a universe where materials play with appearances: clay becomes wood, coral or rock, thanks to wax and pigments. Together, they form microcosms in which each work offers a fragment of the world. Offered to the eye, another nature rustles with a thousand metamorphoses.
