Finely carved as a recumbent Buddhist lion with its feet tucked underneath its body and tail swept to one side, the face with bulging eyes above a wide snout and curly ears, the ribs and fur hair finely incised. The translucent stone of a pale celadon color with few faint russet veins and cloudy white inclusions. Provenance: British trade.
